Against Our Better Judgement.

This probably happens to many of us
We throw our principles to wind
Simply for a moment’s happiness.
Which is not necessarily a bad thing
Seeing as life is short and all that other stuff.
This going ahead to ignore our better judgement
Comes at a cost, one that may be too big to pay.
Well that happened this weekend
And all I could think about was,
Not only should I have known better
I actually knew better, but I ignored it.
One could say I risked everything 
For only one moment.
Thank God, I am not one.
I do not plan on beating myself
Especially because of the fact that
Princess Komuntale is definitely going through
A more difficult time than I am.
At the moment, I am only trying to get through Monday.
